How to Upload Videos on Npati

How-to-Upload-Videos-on-Npati

Npati is more than a marketplace for product listings. The platform also lets users publish standalone videos that can be discovered separately from marketplace products.

This distinction is important because uploading a video on Npati is not the same as adding a product video to a Npati listing.

A standalone Npati video has its own title, category, description, tags, thumbnail and publication settings. After publication, it can appear with other video content across Npati, including the main Videos area and selected video sections on the homepage.

By contrast, a product video added to a marketplace listing becomes part of that specific listing and is designed to help buyers understand the product being sold.

If your goal is to add video directly to an item for sale, read How to Add Product Video to a Npati Listing.

However, if you want to publish a standalone video on Npati, this guide explains the complete process.

Quick Answer: How Do You Upload a Video on Npati?

To upload a video on Npati, sign in to your account and open your Profile page. Next, select the Videos tab.

On the right side of the Videos section, select Upload Video.

A video upload window will open. From there, you can upload the video file, add an optional thumbnail, enter a title, choose a video category, write a description, add up to 10 tags and optionally schedule the video for publication.

Once everything is ready, save your changes.

Your published video can then become available through Npati’s video areas, while your own uploaded videos remain manageable from the Videos section of your profile.

Standalone Npati Videos vs. Product Videos in Listings

Before uploading anything, it helps to understand the difference between the two video systems.

A standalone Npati video is published as video content. It has its own video page, metadata and video category. In addition, users can discover it separately from marketplace listings.

A product video inside a listing belongs to one specific marketplace card. Its main purpose is to show a product, its condition or how it works.

For example, suppose you want to create a detailed video about restoring an old desk. A standalone Npati video may be a better choice because the video itself is the content.

On the other hand, suppose you are selling that desk. In that case, adding a short demonstration directly to the marketplace listing may make more sense.

Npati supports both approaches. Therefore, choose the format based on what you want viewers to do after watching.

For the complete marketplace workflow, see How to Create a Listing on Npati.

Step 1: Sign In to Your Npati Account

First, sign in to the Npati account where you want to publish the video.

If you do not have an account yet, follow How to Create a Npati Account before continuing.

After signing in, open your personal Profile page.

Npati currently operates across four markets, so the exact profile URL depends on the market you are using.

  1. United States: https://www.npati.com/profile
  2. Ukraine: https://www.npati.com/ua/profile
  3. Canada: https://www.npati.com/ca/profile
  4. United Kingdom: https://www.npati.com/gb/profile

The interface may be localized for each market. However, the general video publishing workflow follows the same idea.

If you want to learn more about your profile before publishing content, read How to Set Up Your Npati Profile.

Step 2: Open the Videos Tab

Once your profile page is open, find the Videos tab.

This section contains the videos connected to your account.

It is important not to confuse this area with marketplace listings. Your listing management and your standalone video content are separate parts of your Npati activity.

After opening Videos, look toward the right side of the section.

There you will find the Upload Video button.

Select it to open the video publishing window.

Step 3: Upload Your Video File

The first required field is Video File.

Select Upload Video and choose the video you want to publish from your device.

Npati accepts the following video formats:

MP4, MOV, AVI and WebM.

The maximum video file size is 2 GB.

For most users, MP4 is a practical choice because it is widely supported by cameras, smartphones and video editing software.

Nevertheless, you do not need to convert a supported MOV, AVI or WebM file simply because it is not MP4.

Before uploading, make sure the file plays correctly on your device. In addition, review the beginning and end of the video so you do not accidentally publish unwanted footage.

Step 4: Add a Video Thumbnail

The next area is Thumbnail, which is optional.

A thumbnail is the image people may see before they start watching the video. Therefore, it should make the subject of the video easy to understand.

You can upload a thumbnail in:

JPG, PNG or WebP format.

The maximum thumbnail size is 10 MB.

Choose an image that accurately represents the video. For example, if the video is about an iPhone, the thumbnail should clearly show the phone rather than an unrelated image.

A clean thumbnail can also make the video easier to recognize when several videos appear together.

Choose a Thumbnail From the Video

Npati also provides a way to change the thumbnail to another frame from the uploaded video.

This is similar to the thumbnail selection available when you add a product video to a Npati listing.

Sometimes the automatically selected frame is not ideal. For instance, the first frame may be blurry, dark or captured while the camera is moving.

In that situation, select another available frame that shows the subject more clearly.

As a result, you may not need to create a separate thumbnail image at all.

Step 5: Write the Video Title

Every uploaded video requires a Video Title.

The title can contain up to 55 characters.

Because the available space is limited, describe the main topic as clearly as possible.

For example:

How to Photograph an iPhone for Sale

is more useful than:

Check Out My New Video

Likewise:

Used iPhone 14 Pro Camera Test

provides more context than:

Phone Video

A descriptive title helps people understand what they are about to watch. At the same time, it gives search systems and AI systems clearer information about the main subject of the page.

However, avoid repeating the same keyword unnecessarily.

A natural title that accurately describes the video is more useful than a title filled with unrelated search phrases.

Step 6: Select the Video Category

Next, open the Category field.

Npati provides different video categories, so select the category that most accurately describes your content.

Category selection helps organize videos by topic.

For example, a product review should go into a relevant review or product related category when available. Meanwhile, an instructional video should use the most appropriate educational or how to category offered in the selector.

Do not select an unrelated category simply because you think it may receive more traffic.

Instead, choose the closest match to the actual subject.

Clear categorization gives viewers more context and also helps Npati organize content across video discovery areas.

Step 7: Write the Video Description

The Video Description field is required and supports up to 1,000 characters.

Use this space to explain what someone will see in the video.

A useful description can answer questions such as: What is the video about? What product, topic or process is being shown? What will the viewer learn? Are there any important details they should know?

For example:

In this video, I show a bright yellow smartphone from several angles and explain how I prepared six product photos for a marketplace listing. You can see the front, back, camera area, side profile and overall condition of the phone.

This description gives much more context than simply writing:

My smartphone video.

In addition, use specific terms naturally when they are relevant.

Brand names, product models, activities, locations and topics can help explain the video. However, the description should still sound natural to a person reading it.

Make the Description Easy to Understand

Clear writing is especially useful when a video page may be interpreted by search engines, recommendation systems or AI assistants.

Start with the main subject early.

Afterward, explain the important details.

For example, if the video is a tutorial about adding photos to a marketplace listing, state that directly instead of waiting until the final sentence.

Specific information also creates stronger context.

Instead of writing:

Here are some tips for a product.

consider:

This video explains how to photograph a used iPhone for an online marketplace listing, including the front, back, cameras, side edges and visible condition.

The second version communicates the topic much more clearly.

Step 8: Add Relevant Tags

Npati allows you to add up to 10 tags to a video.

Tags should describe the actual content rather than unrelated popular topics.

For an iPhone photography video, useful tags might include terms such as iPhone, smartphone, product photography, marketplace, selling online or phone camera.

However, you do not need to fill all 10 spaces.

Five highly relevant tags can be more useful than 10 loosely related terms.

Most importantly, avoid keyword stuffing.

Tags should help categorize the video, not create a long collection of unrelated search terms.

Step 9: Schedule the Video for Publication

Npati also includes a Schedule publication option.

This feature allows you to prepare a video now and choose a future publication time.

Scheduling can be useful when you are preparing several pieces of content in advance.

For example, you might upload a video in the morning but schedule it to become available later in the day.

Likewise, businesses and creators can prepare videos in batches instead of returning to Npati each time they want to publish something.

Before scheduling, review the selected date and time carefully.

Once everything is correct, save your video with the publication schedule you want.

Step 10: Save Your Video

After completing the required fields, review the entire upload window.

Check the video file, thumbnail, title, category, description and tags.

If you scheduled publication, verify the publication time as well.

When everything looks correct, select Save Changes.

If you decide not to continue, select Cancel instead.

After saving, Npati processes the video and makes it available according to the publication settings you selected.

Where Do Uploaded Npati Videos Appear?

Standalone videos are designed to be discovered separately from marketplace listing media.

Some uploaded videos can appear in dedicated video content areas on the Npati homepage.

In addition, Npati has a main Videos section where users can discover video content.

Availability and placement can vary as content is organized and displayed across the platform.

Your own uploaded videos are also available from the Videos tab inside your profile, where you can manage them later.

This separation is another reason standalone video uploads should not be confused with product videos inside listings.

How to Find Your Uploaded Videos

Open your Npati profile and return to the Videos tab.

Your video content appears in this section.

From here, you can review videos you have already uploaded and access management options for individual videos.

This makes your profile an important control area for your video content.

Meanwhile, your public content can also be discovered through Npati’s video experience.

How to Edit a Video on Npati

Sometimes you may need to update video information after publication.

Open your Profile page and go to Videos.

Find the video you want to manage, then select the three dot menu next to that video.

The menu includes management actions.

Choose the edit option when you need to update the available video information.

For example, you may want to correct a title, improve a description or update another editable field.

After making changes, save them so the updated information can be applied.

How to Delete a Video on Npati

The same three dot menu can also be used when you no longer want a video on your account.

Open Profile, select Videos and locate the video.

Next, open the three dot menu and choose the delete option.

Because deleting content may remove it from your account, make sure you selected the correct video before confirming the action.

If the content only needs a small correction, editing may be more appropriate than deleting and uploading it again.

How to Embed a Npati Video on Another Website

Npati videos can also be used outside the Npati platform.

For supported videos, you can access embed code that allows the video to be inserted into another website.

This is useful for blogs, product pages, guides and other websites where you want visitors to watch your Npati video without manually searching for it.

The embed code can be added to a website that supports embedded HTML content.

How to Embed a Npati Video in WordPress

WordPress users can also place supported Npati video embed code into a page or blog post.

First, obtain the embed code for the video.

Next, open the WordPress page or post where you want the video to appear.

Use a block or editor area that accepts custom HTML, then paste the Npati embed code into that section.

Preview the page before publishing to make sure the video displays correctly.

This approach lets you publish the video on Npati while also using the same video within your own website content.

Standalone Video or Marketplace Listing?

Choosing the right Npati content type depends on your goal.

Use a standalone video when the video itself is the main content.

For example, tutorials, product demonstrations, reviews, educational videos, creator content and longer visual explanations can work well as standalone videos.

Use a marketplace listing when the main goal is to sell, offer or present a specific item through a marketplace card.

Within that marketplace listing, you can still add video.

Npati currently supports photo based listings, listings with photos plus video and Video Focused Listings.

You can learn about those formats in How to Create a Listing on Npati and How to Add Product Video to a Npati Listing.

Can You Publish Both a Video and a Listing?

Yes, the two formats can serve different purposes.

For example, imagine that you sell a used camera.

Your marketplace listing can contain the price, condition, photos, location and product video.

Separately, you could create a longer standalone video reviewing the camera, explaining its features or showing sample footage.

Therefore, the listing handles the marketplace offer, while the standalone video provides additional video content.

When used thoughtfully, these formats can complement each other without being duplicates.

Tips for Better Npati Video Titles

Keep the topic clear and specific.

A viewer should understand the subject before opening the video.

For example:

How to Add Photos to a Npati Listing

clearly identifies a tutorial.

Similarly:

iPhone 14 Pro Camera Test in Daylight

describes a specific product and topic.

Avoid vague titles such as Watch This, New Video or My Product.

Although those titles may be short, they provide very little context.

Tips for Better Npati Video Descriptions

Use the first sentence to explain the main subject.

Then add relevant details about what appears in the video.

Transition words can also make longer descriptions easier to read. For example, use phrases such as first, next, in addition, however, for example, as a result and finally when they fit naturally.

Most importantly, write for real people.

The description should explain the video accurately rather than repeat a keyword many times.

Tips for Better Video Thumbnails

A good thumbnail should make the video topic recognizable quickly.

Choose a frame where the main subject is visible and in focus.

In addition, avoid frames captured during fast camera movement because they may appear blurry.

If text is part of your custom thumbnail, keep it short enough to remain readable at smaller sizes.

However, text is not always necessary.

For many product videos, a clean image of the actual item may communicate the subject more effectively.

Should You Upload Long or Short Videos?

The best length depends on what you need to communicate.

A simple product demonstration may not require a long recording.

In contrast, a detailed tutorial, review or educational video may need more time.

Do not extend a video simply to make it longer.

Instead, keep enough content to explain the topic clearly.

Likewise, avoid cutting useful information just to make the video extremely short.

The best duration is the one that matches the subject.
